Why do I write and publish this blog? The purpose of this blog is to give me a platform to say what I think while giving everyone else the opportunity to ignore it. It alleviates my conscience when it comes to my duty to speak the truth and gives people what they need to make informed decisions. It also allows me to keep my mouth shut and nod my head and listen to people in the real world without saying a contrary word to them. It saves me the grief of wasting my time on fools.
The overwhelming majority of the human race are idiots. What makes them idiots is not that they lack the truth. They don't want the truth. They want the lies they believe to be made true. They seek out those things which do not increase their wisdom but confirm their idiocy.
I have not always known what I know now, and I suspect that I have many more things to learn. But there is one thing I will say in my defense. I have always wanted the truth even if I didn't like it. I prefer the brutal truth to a pleasant lie. Truth stings in the short term, but it is a balm of healing in the long term.
This blog is a salve to my conscience because I said what needed saying. It brings me peace because it allows me to live in silence in the real world. I don't know what impact this blog has on the world. I only know what impact it has on me. Fools never listen. Most people are fools.
