Random Thoughts on Various Subjects 54

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.
RODNEY DANGERFIELD

1. PERVPOCALYPSE NOW

A lot of perverts in the public eye are going down these days. Many of them are in Hollywood and on the political left. Their shenanigans have been ignored by the leftist mainstream media for decades. Now, they make the headlines every single day. What changed to cause this cultural tsunami?

I'd like to believe that this is a result of people coming back to embrace chastity and modesty, but this is the same culture that endorses abortion on demand and gay marriage. I think the reason for this sudden sea change is more sinister. I think the new gang wants to clear out the old gang, so they have resorted to the Machiavellian tactic of character assassination. As I am fond of saying, if you wait long enough, evil will eat itself.

Evil is simply eating itself, and it will not end until all of those of a certain age have been devoured. What will replace the old evil will be a new evil even more potent and diabolical.

2. NORTH KOREAN DEFECTOR

A North Korean soldier defected to South Korea and received five gunshot wounds for his escape. His body was filled with parasites. North Korea is truly hell on earth. It's too bad we can't ship American leftists over there to stay forever.

I pray daily that North Korea and the nightmare of Kim Jong Un would end much like the Berlin Wall fell so many years ago. Donald Trump should go at North Korea like Reagan did against the USSR. Those poor North Koreans deserve a break from their sufferings.

I detest modern art. The bulk of it is aimed at nothing more than blaspheming our Lord and shocking the cultural and social sensibilities of decent people. It is ugliness for the sake of ugliness.

Why do people produce this garbage? The bottom line is that they have lost the capability of producing works of beauty. The loss of religious faith has corroded their souls and corrupted their minds. It isn't a lack of skill on their part. It is a lack of humanity.

This lack of humanity extends to all forms of cultural expression. Art is now ugly. Music is now noise. Cinema is now pornography. Architecture is now hideous. This garbage and filth has been with us for over a century and even parts of the Roman Catholic Church have embraced the aesthetic with churches and cathedrals that look more like bunkers and warehouses than houses of worship.

When God is lost, beauty is lost with Him. The result is that the world looks more and more each day like Hell.

4. Q & A

Q: Why do people still embrace Marxism, socialism, and communism?

A: Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, there are some people who think communism works. These are your academics and technocrat types and loafers living in the basement of their parents' house. These people know communism doesn't work, but they don't care. This is because they don't work. Their aversion to labor is what makes them Marxist. Meanwhile, the proletariat who actually do the work reject Marxism overwhelmingly. They vote for billionaires like Donald Trump.

Every Marxist in America should be airdropped into a Marxist country such as Venezuela or North Korea. Dump them out and forget about them. Capitalism works. It always has and always will. Marxism has never worked and never will.

5. QUOTABLE QUOTES

It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.
ST. THERESA OF CALCUTTA

I bear a deep red stain that runs from my left shoulder down to my right hip, a trail left by the herbwitch's poison that my mother used to try to expel me from her womb.
R.L. LAFEVERS

To restrict or legalize abortion, to allow or forbid gay marriage, a legislator would need to write and pass a law, get it signed by the president or a governor, and perhaps override a veto. A Supreme Court justice need only persuade four other people. If he or she is not internally constrained by the authority of a text, he or she is not constrained.
MICHAEL J. GERSON

Seneca, the Roman moralist, called unchastity "the greatest evil of our time". In light of this pronounced deterioration of marriage, countless Roman women engaged in adulterous sex, and when they became pregnant, they destroyed the evidence of their sexual indiscretions, thus adding to Rome's widespread abortions.
ALVIN J. SCHMIDT

For abortion opponents believe that a class of persons are being killed by such methods as dismemberment, suffocation, and burning, and thus are more than perplexed to be told that they don't have to participate in the killings if they don't want to. Saying 'If you don't like abortion, don't have one.' to those opposed to abortion is similar to telling abolitionists not to own slaves if they don't like slavery.

6. ODDS AND ENDS

--The Person of the Year is Donald J. Trump even if Time magazine chooses to ignore the obvious.

--College students visit food banks and live on food stamps now. It will only be worse as they turn to Alpo upon graduation and have to turn to sex work to meet the interest payments on their student loans.

--Charlie Rose was a good journalist. Likewise, Kevin Spacey has been a great actor. Yet, they would love to take back the awards and praise.

--The easiest way to defund ISIS is to end welfare.

--People who work in abortion clinics must have no conscience at all.
