Random Thoughts on Various Subjects 24

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
STEVE MARTIN

1. MILWAUKEE

Police shoot a black guy packing heat in Milwaukee, so black people loot and burn the city in violent protest. They have also targeted innocent white people and assaulted them for no other reason than they were white. Has the race war begun?

This particular protest is noteworthy for two reasons. The first is that the black guy shot in this incident was carrying a weapon, and he had a long list of offenses and warrants. He was unquestionably a bad guy who got what was coming to him. The second is that the people looting and burning and attacking white people are no better than that guy.

I am going to say something highly controversial, politically incorrect to the extreme, and absolutely 100% true. The African-American community in the United States of America has bred a criminal class of thugs with their illegitimacy, rejection of Christian morals, glorification of violence, and dependence on government welfare. This criminal class is the one looting and burning Milwaukee. They merely needed the slimmest excuse to do what they already wanted to do. And, somehow, this criminal behavior is the fault of white oppression. Somehow, white America made these people into thugs and criminals.

Things weren't always like this. When the black family used to actually exist, you saw black fathers struggling against racism and oppression to be the men their families needed. Those men still exist, but they are few and far between. Instead, the black welfare queen holds the whip hand in the black community. The hand that rocks the cradle rocks the world. In this case, it is Milwaukee getting rocked.

To make these remarks is to be called a racist. Yet, when did telling the truth become a sin? The fact is that people aren't telling the truth. There are more white people on welfare than black, and illegitimacy is also rising in white America with similar results and cultural decay. I have met white welfare queens. But there still exists enough approbation to keep it in check. This is because you can call out white women on welfare. You can shame them for being whores. But you cannot do this with a black welfare queen.

The male progeny of these welfare queens are our criminals today. They are fatherless monsters who deal drugs, make really bad music, and father the next fatherless generation of criminals. Then, there are those ridiculous black preachers who are either social justice warriors like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson or prosperity gospel preachers like Creflo Dollar. They are an utter disgrace doing nothing positive for their communities except excusing their immorality and bilking them for cash.

The decline of Black America is not the fault of White America. It is the fault of Black America with their debasement of the family and the church. Milwaukee represents the beginning of the end game as these thugs decide to target innocent white people. This cannot end well. If left unchecked, our cities will become a battleground in a civil war between whites and blacks. Black America needs moral leadership. Barack Obama would be a likely candidate, but he has shown neither morality nor leadership on these issues.

Black America needs black conservatives. They do exist. One of those people is Lt. Col. Allen West. Another is Sheriff David Clarke. The irony is when these men stand up for faith and family, they are denigrated as traitors to their race. Amazing.

This is not about race. This is about law and order. This is about God and country. As bad as racism has been, nothing has been more calamitous to Black America than its own moral decline. The KKK could only dream of the body count that black-on-black violence produces on a daily basis in our cities. Now that the violence is becoming black-on-white, those guys in the white hood see their chance at a return to the glory days when you could lynch a black man in broad daylight without fear of arrest or reprisal. The cultural rot is spreading and will consume this nation. God help us.

2. COMBOX WISDOM

My wife found this comment in a combox and shared it with me. I share it with you now.
Hillary did her college thesis on Alinsky's writings and Obama writes about him in his books.
Saul Alinsky died about 43 years ago, but his writings influenced those in political control of our nation today.......
Died: June 12, 1972, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA
Education: University of Chicago
Spouse: Irene Alinsky
Books: Rules for Radicals, Reveille for Radicals
Anyone out there think that this stuff isn't happening today in the U.S.
All eight rules are currently in play
How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.
1) Healthcare – Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control – Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States ?
Alinsky merely simplified Vladimir Lenin's original scheme for world conquest by communism, under Russian rule. Stalin described his converts as "Useful Idiots."
The Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control. It is presently happening at an alarming rate in the U.S.
"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere."

I present this without commentary:

4. TRUMPISM

I listen to Mark Levin daily during my commute home from work, and I like him because of his clear and consistent case for conservatism. The man is well read, and I think he has a first rate mind. This is in contrast to a new political philosophy that is becoming a rival to conservatism that can only be called "Trumpism." Here is a picture of the godfather of Trumpism:

Archie Bunker was the proto-Trumpist. The guy was working class and distrusted minorities. He didn't hate minorities. He was just insensitive to them. And you could see him signing off on protectionism and the Great Wall of Mexico. Ross Perot and Lou Dobbs could also be considered proto-Trumpists. Donald Trump is essentially what you get if Archie Bunker ever became a billionaire.

Conservatism has a new intellectual foe in Trumpism. The key difference between conservatism and Trumpism has to do with free trade. Conservatives embrace free trade while Trumpists despise it. Conservatives will make the argument for less regulation and lower taxes to help American businesses compete with foreign companies. Trumpists call for tariffs and "fair trade" deals.

This election and the emergence of Trumpism amounts to a GOP rethink on free trade. The guy who best embodies this debate is Pat Buchanan who is solidly conservative on social issues but parts company with the GOP free traders. Naturally, Buchanan is an enthusiastic supporter of Trump.

Mark Levin is an ardent free trade supporter and represents the classic conservative stance. As he pointed out in his program, Ronald Reagan was the architect of NAFTA. H. Ross Perot decried NAFTA with his famous "sucking sound" of jobs leaving the USA for Mexico. In that early debate, the seeds were sown for today's debate. All working class people know is that their lives are in the toilet today, and they blame free trade policies like NAFTA.

What is the verdict on this? I can't say. I have become a sort of agnostic on economic matters since seeing a lot of validity in arguments from distributism. Part of me leans towards Chesterton on this stuff. The other part of me leans towards the Acton Institute. I have not resolved this debate sufficiently to say one way or the other anymore. For the vast bulk of my life, I have been a free trade supporter, but I don't see how a US business that pays a decent wage can ever compete with a foreign business that pays a slave wage. I just don't know anything anymore on these matters. If free trade was so awesome, things should be better today not worse. I will write more on this topic in future posts.

5. Q & A

Q: Have you been watching the Olympics?

A: No.

The Olympics are not earning high ratings for NBC this year. I'm not sure why others are tuning out the games, but I know why I don't care to watch them. I can't get on board with chanting that our dopers are better than your dopers. Athletes are not heroes anymore. They are just cheaters trying not to get caught.

6. QUOTABLE QUOTES

Don't deceive people with the word "mercy." God forgives sins only if we repent of them.
CARDINAL SARAH

Never abandon prayer, even when it seems pointless to pray.
POPE FRANCIS

If you want to have order in the commonwealth, you first have to have order in the individual soul.
RUSSELL KIRK

Do not fear what may happen tomorrow. The same loving Father who cares for you today will care for you tomorrow and every day. Either he will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace then and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings.
ST. FRANCIS DE SALES

God is the friend of silence. We need to find God, but we cannot find Him in noise, in excitement. See how nature, the trees, the flowers, the grass grow in deep silence. See how the stars, the moon and the sun move in silence. The more we receive in our silent prayer, the more we can give in our active life. Silence gives us a new way of looking at everything. We need this silence to touch souls. The important things is not what we say but what God says to us and what He says through us.
BLESSED MOTHER TERESA

He who is devout to the Blessed Mother will certainly never be lost.
ST. IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH

What most attracts God's graces is gratitude, because if we thank Him for a gift, He is touched and hastens to give us ten more, and if we thank Him again with the same enthusiasm, what an incalculable multiplication of graces! I have experienced this: try it yourself and you will see! My gratitude for everything he gives me is limitless, and I prove it to Him in a thousand ways.
ST. THERESE OF LISIEUX

Life is to live in a such a way that we are not afraid to die.
ST. TERESA OF AVILA

No one heals himself by wounding another.
ST. AMBROSE OF MILAN

There are many kinds of alms; the giving of which helps us to obtain pardon for our sins; but none is greater than that by which we forgive from our heart a sin that someone has committed against us.
ST. AUGUSTINE

If anyone makes himself his own master in the spiritual life, he makes himself scholar to a fool.
ST. BERNARD OF CLAIRVAUX

7. ODDS AND ENDS

--The Olympics have shown the world that Brazil is a cesspool.

--Obama paid a ransom to Iran. He must think this is a nation of fools to suggest otherwise.

--Hillary does not look well. I think she has brain damage from that concussion. Then again, you have to have brain damage to be a liberal.

--I finally saw a Hillary Clinton bumper sticker. I see Trump bumper stickers and campaign signs daily.

--If Trump loses, he will start a Trump News Network and hire Roger Ailes to run it. Trumpism will live on.
