Random Thoughts on Various Subjects 22

Whatever it is, I'm against it.

Watching Trump and the cloud of controversy surrounding him this week has been discouraging. Trump draws large crowds, but the polls say he is in trouble. Either Trump has a much larger following that is not being counted in the polling, or he has a small but very intense following of impassioned supporters that make every place he goes look like the Beatles came to town.

My personal belief is that the polls don't reflect reality. The reason for this is twofold. The first is that many people who support Trump are silent. I know many who are totally for Trump but who keep it to themselves for fear of reprisal from employers, friends, and the general public. To put a Trump bumper sticker on your vehicle is an invitation to vandalism. As Hillary Clinton campaign material, I have yet to see a single bumper sticker, poster, or sign in support of the woman. I have lost count of the Bernie Sanders stuff I have seen. And my state is candy apple red.

The other reason is that I truly believe that the liberal media does not want Trump, so they skew their reporting, coverage, and information. This video is evidence of the problem as the networks go out of their way to not show the crowds and enthusiasm for Trump. Here is a Hillary crowd:

A Hillary crowd is cropped by the cameras to appear larger than it is. Trumps crowds are cropped to appear smaller than they are. I think polling has the same distortions. And the surprise result of the Brexit vote shows just how wrong the media can be on these things. If it looked like a landslide for Trump, the mainstream media is not going to report it.

The link to this takes you to a set of transgender guidelines for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. It is a disgusting thing to read and mindblowing. Folks, if you ever doubted their satanic agenda, this will remove those doubts. The world is descending into madness.

Parents, you need to pull your kids from the public schools. You need to opt for religious private schooling or homeschooling. The Devil wants to devour your children.

Twitter bans Milo and deletes tweets. Facebook does the same thing. Are they censoring ISIS or Black Lives Matter? Of course not. They are censoring conservatives and Republicans. Now, these outlets are privately owned, so it is foolish to claim First Amendment rights that don't apply in these areas. But it does indicate that social media is infected with the same bias as the mainstream media. I predict that a new avenue of social media will emerge in the future that caters to people of a conservative/Republican/Christian worldview. It would be the Fox News of social media. The spur for this will be when Twitter and Facebook run completely nuts with their censorship.

4. Q & A

Q: The world is going completely to Hell. What can we do about it?

A: My wife asks me this question almost daily. My answer is the same. Pray the rosary. That seems like such a foolish answer in a world of transgender/gay mayhem, abortion on demand, ISIS beheadings and terrorism, impending economic collapse, and a world more in tune with Pokemon Go than reality. But I quote St. Paul the Apostle:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The world is at war, and this war is a spiritual war. The temptation is to limit your vision to the purely temporal, but this would be a mistake. I ponder what a daisycutter would do to the Kaaba in Mecca, and I must conclude that it wouldn't do very much to extinguish Islam. These are the methods of our enemies who believe force, warfare, and violence are what win the day. They don't.

Our war is with Satan. Satan is defeated when we are faithful in our prayers. Our prayers do more than we know. This article gives many reasons for praying the Rosary, but this one is key to our discussion:
. . . the battle between Heaven and Hell is real. The Rosary has a special power against evil. Satan hates Mary with all of his might. Through Mary and her Magnificat, her “yes” to God, we have Our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have our salvation, if we choose to accept it. Demons know and fear the Rosary. Blessed Pope Pius IX said, “Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.” This is how powerful the Rosary is. St. Francis de Sales, the great master of the spiritual life, wrote, “The greatest method of prayer is praying the Rosary.”
Our Lady has told us to pray the Rosary each and every day. That prayer is our part in the larger battle against the great battle against Satan and his minions. Yet, something so small and easy is the one thing we refuse to do. We would rather do anything else than do that one thing. We are like Naaman who balked at dipping in the Jordan river to cure his leprosy. Yet, faith is demonstrated best in obedience.

Pray the Rosary daily. Just do it.

The Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.

Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.

The holy Rosary is a powerful weapon. Use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results.

The Rosary is a powerful weapon to put the demons to flight and to keep oneself from sin…If you desire peace in your hearts, in your homes, and in your country, assemble each evening to recite the Rosary. Let not even one day pass without saying it, no matter how burdened you may be with many cares and labors.

The Rosary is the most excellent form of prayer and the most efficacious means of attaining eternal life. It is the remedy for all our evils, the root of all our blessings. There is no more excellent way of praying.

No one can live continually in sin and continue to say the Rosary: either they will give up sin or they will give up the Rosary.

The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families…that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.

Here is an example to help you understand the efficacy of the Rosary. You remember the story of David who vanquished Goliath. What steps did the young Israelite take to overthrow the giant? He struck him in the middle of the forehead with a pebble from his sling. If we regard the Philistine as representing evil and all its powers: heresy, impurity, pride, we can consider the little stones from the sling capable of overthrowing the enemy as symbolizing the Aves of the Rosary.

“The ways of God are entirely different from our ways. To us it seems necessary to employ powerful means in order to produce great effects. This is not God’s method; quite the contrary. He likes to choose the weakest instruments that He may confound the strong: “God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong — Infirma mundi elegit ut confundat fortia” (1 Cor 1:27).

“Have you not often met poor old women who are most faithful to the pious recitation of the Rosary? You also must do all that you can to recite it with fervour. Get right down, at the feet of Jesus: it is a good thing to make oneself small in the presence of so great a God.”

--They have now greenlighted human/animal embryo hybrids. Next step: Frankenbabies. Weep for this depraved world.

--I think Hillary has brain damage. Her gray matter is busted. It is either alcohol abuse, Alzheimer's, or post-concussion syndrome. I am hoping she will forget she is a Democrat.

--Joe Biden displayed his cynicism when he married two gay men in his home. Don't be fooled by that "personally opposed" rhetoric. The man isn't a Catholic. He is a liberal. And not one prelate in the Church will do or say anything about it.

--When Pope Francis blames social and economic reasons for ISIS, he shows that he is a fool. Holy Father, they hate Jesus Christ. They hate the Roman Catholic Church. They hate you. They hate all things Christian because of their antichrist religion.

--The Gadsden flag isn't racist, and it is absurd to suggest that it is. But when your only counterargument is to scream "racist" at everything you find disagreeable, then it becomes racist.
