And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God. . .
REVELATION 20:4 NASB
This book came to me via a friend who lost his job because of the information in this book. He spoke of the explosive truths in this book, and the school he worked at fired him for it. And what was this explosive truth? Islam is the religion of the Antichrist.
Growing up in the Protestant South of the USA, I was always taught that the antichrist would be a figure like the one in the Omen movies who would probably come out of America and Europe, institute world government, and demand that everyone take his mark which would be a barcode on the forehead and the hand with the numbers 666. This story was the product of many outlandish readings of biblical prophecy in the light of present day events. Unfortunately, books like the Left Behind series continue to spread this wrong interpretation. This interpretation is simply false.
Joel Richardson dispels this interpretation and presents a new interpretation that is highly controversial but fits those Bible prophecies like no other interpretation. The gist of it is plain and simple. Islam is the religion of the antichrist. The antichrist is none other than the messiah or mahdi of the Muslims. And their goal is to exterminate all Jews and Christians and anyone else who does not submit to Allah.
This is a bombshell in a time when many people and especially the Roman Catholic Church try to build ecumenical bridges to Muslims and apologize for things like the Crusades. But thanks to reporting on ISIS and atrocities by Islamic refugees in Europe and terrorism, people are waking up to the reality that Islam is not a religion of peace but rape and murder. Muslims are evil.
I read the Richardson book with a skeptical eye mainly because of stuff like Left Behind which I already knew to be bunk. But Richardson makes an overwhelming and weighty argument from Scripture that the antichrist will be a new Muslim caliph leading a revived Ottoman Empire against Israel and the Christian West. By the end of the book, I was thoroughly convinced.
I highly recommend this book to all Christians regardless if they are Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox. Read this book and tell me at the end that what this man has written is not true and makes more sense of those Bible prophecies. I think you will find his arguments as convincing as I did. It will also wake you up to the reality of the events happening today.
